SICHREM in collaboration with Department of Social Work, Christ University organised a Mobile Human Rights Legal Clinic at Janakiram Layout Slum in Bangalore on 25th January 2012.
The Self-Help group members and representatives from the community actively participated in the clinic. 33 cases of various categories of human right violations including, property issues, women rights violation, issues relating to registering birth, widows pension, matrimonial issues, domestic violence, issues in getting ration cards and voters identity cards were registered at the clinic. Adv. Eunice Mercy and Adv. Manohar Hosea gave legal counseling to the victims.
